Leslie Aplin Wharton
We all live on the edge of next.
Leslie Wharton’s writing focuses on the human experience of nature and compassion. Currently she’s working a memoir Edge of Next. She has collaborated with Morgan James Publishers to co-authoring the book Phoenix Rising: Stories of Women Who have Walked through Fire. Leslie’s articles on climate change appeared in the Chicago Tribune and The Joplin Globe. She has run camps and outdoor programs for children, sold outdoor gear, worked as a carpenter and solar installer. She loves playing in the wilderness including climbing, backpacking, paddling rivers, skiing, fishing and sitting. She is known for her laugh. She built and lived in an off-grid house with her husband in Colorado, which was destroyed in the High Park Fire. Currently she lives in Washington State. Leslie is available as a guest speaker and workshop leader .
